A Life Without Limits

“Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already
know, and you’ll see the way to fly.”
~Richard Bach

Many of us are living our lives not looking so much through rose-coloured glasses, but more of a stained-glass window of limiting beliefs and conditioning handed down to us at birth, from experiences, by our family and friends, teachers, co-workers, media, and many of the people we looked to as points of reference growing up.

Like sponges, we soak up their beliefs, limitations, perceptions of the world, of what was/is possible or impossible as truth and allow all of them to shape us and the life we are living today, not conscious that many of the beliefs are not even ours.

On the positive side, all of these things can be changed, once we become conscious of them.  No matter what happens to us we always have a choice and we have the power to do something about it, to change ourselves, our thoughts, our beliefs, our circumstances and become the architect of our lives.
When we quieten our minds down enough to hear, feel or see, there will always be a voice, feeling, serendipitous person, or event asking you to go back to yourself, to who you really are and realise your true essence that anything is possible.

Peace of Mind

Stress, worry, and anxiety simply come from projecting your thoughts into the future and imagining something bad. This is focusing on what you don't want! If you find that your mind is projecting into the future in a negative way, focus intensely on NOW. Keep bringing yourself back to the present.
Use all of your will, and focus your mind in this very moment, because in this moment of now there is utter peace and every possibility exists for you. ~ The Secret Daily Teachings by Rhonda Byrne

Words Have Wings So Speak Good Things

When you speak of someone or about someone, you should speak as though they were in the room with you. The ears that you speak to today are attached to the mouth that could relay the message tomorrow.~ William 'Biddy' Allen

Just Another Type of Creation

"We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals.

Remote from universal nature, and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion.

We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man.

In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."

Get To Know Your Self

Your authentic SELF is deep in the core of your being, always loving, always peaceful and always forgiving, compared with the EGO which is constantly looking to be better than everybody else, always comparing, looking for approval and always competing. Whenever you are thinking, feeling, saying or doing something that is not coming from a loving place, know that you are activating the EGO and not your authentic SELF
I wish someone had told me when I was growing up that being different is okay and conformity is not for everyone. That it’s perfectly fine to explore what your heart wants and to tune out the rest of the world long enough to build a relationship with your SELF/SOUL.
Set the intention to spend some time with your SELF looking at your: dreams, values, likes, dislikes, idiosyncrasies, personality, moods, body, your pandora's box of fears and insecurities - it will be well worth the effort. And replenish your SELF daily - care for yourself as you would any other precious being.
The most beautiful thing you will ever witness in life is when you begin to reconnect with your essence and unfold into the loved, loving and loveable person you were born to be.

“It takes courage...to endure the sharp pains of self discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives.”  ~Marianne Williamson, Return to Love
