It can become very trendy to be cynical. To think that spirituality in all its forms is just...bullshit. That the "no pain, no gain" version of reality is truth and reaching for ease and consciously moving away from struggle and suffering is either denial, ignorance or suppression. But that is just the greatest illusion of all. That awakening must come through pain. It can. It often does. But it doesn't have to. Choose your vibration and shape your experience. Stop complicating it....

“The little things, I can obey. The big things—how we think, what we value—those you must choose yourself. You can't let anyone—or any society—determine those for you.”

“I used to think I knew everything. I was a "smart person" who "got things done," and because of that, the higher I climbed, the more I could look down and scoff at what seemed silly or simple, even religion.
But I realized something as I drove home that night: that I am neither better nor smarter, only luckier. And I should be ashamed of thinking I knew everything, because you can know the whole world and still feel lost in it. So many people are in pain-no matter how smart or accomplished-they cry, they yearn, they hurt. But instead of looking down on things, they look up, which is where I should have been looking, too. Because when the world quiets to the sound of your own breathing, we all want the same things:comfort, love, and a peaceful heart.” ~Mitch AlbomHave a Little Faith: a True Story

"Boredom, anger, sadness, or fear are not 'yours,' not personal. They are conditions of the human mind. They come and go. Nothing that comes, and goes is you.”

"Giving in to our natural inclinations doesn't lead to freedom. It leads to spiritual prison. Like a seed fights its way through the dark soil, finding air and light, we have to fight our way to freedom. And from one fighter to another, I promise it's worth it." Confessions of the Spirit: The Path of Least Resistance

Gordy McLeod: "The truth is, every human being on this planet is ridiculous in their own way. So we shouldn't judge, we shouldn't fight, because in the end... in the end, none of it matters. None of the stuff."~

"The Self is never born nor does it ever perish; nor having come into this existence will it again cease to be.  It is birthless, eternal, changeless, ever-same, unaffected by the usual processes associated with time.  It is not slain when the body is killed."

~Bhagavad Gita

"There is no other in this world that is given the right or power to define who you are. No one shall rob you of your value, nor shall any other determine your worth. Your free will is your right of empowerment. You, and only you have the intrinsic design and the divine authority to walk beyond anything and anyone who does not enhance, encourage or inspire your greatness. You have not traveled this far to be anything less than your own Magnificence." ~ Heather K. O'Hara <3
